very long I found this book very long and certainly not a book that I couldn't put down. Cant imagine why they would have made it into a movie.
unexpected ending I really enjoyed the book. It was fast paced like a train ride. I don't know why people keep comparing it with the Gone Girl. It's a totally different story but very nice. The ending was unexpected. I didn't see that coming :)
A downfall if you have read 'Gone Girl' previously I was reading this book because everyone has already read it and I felt sort of left behind.
A good read, but it wasn't that gripping to keep me awake all night.
Where is the thrill? Everyone was talking about this book so I thought I had to read it and of course for Emily (my beloved actress, I heard she did such a fabulous job in the movie although the movie was rated so so). The book did keep me turning the pages but the thrill didn't happen till like the last 10 pages or so. Overall, I enjoyed reading it even though that none of the characters in the book was lovable in my opinion.
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. I just wanted to know "who dunnit." I did get annoyed with the main character at times (and if you read the book, you might understand why) but my understanding of her fears and foibles grew as I read the book. Everything was explained! Looking forward to reading Paula Hawkins' next book. A recommended read.
