I had high hopes I heard many good reviews of this book but honestly, I couldn't get past the rest of 50. How the story took its turn from crime investigation to spiritual was something hard for me to grasp within my belief system. Even if I were a Christian, I wouldn't buy the fact that you're sad after losing your child and one day you get a letter from God and visit the same place where your kid died. Then you meet a black-African lady who happens to be God (and is making pan cakes), and then you meet Jesus (who's busy gardening) and then another woman who is a Holy Spirit.
Umm... seriously?
There are lots of people who suffer from this grief but I don't think anyone would encounter God in a shack

I still wonder if Matt (the main character) found who killed his child? Will figure out later!

Amazing book. A must read
The Shack I found the book inspirational. It gave me a new way of looking at God and how he may view his creations.
I liked the authors interpritation of what God may expect of us and it was comforting as well as a great think piece.
I highly recommend The Shack ... 5 stars !
