The #1 Lawyer Always enjoy James Patterson and having not read any books by Nancy Allen, his co-author, wasn't sure what to expect. It was good but a little unsettling with the main character, Stafford Lee Penney. At first, one is led to believe that his character is strong, decisive, caring and deliberate. Once he's lost his first court case, he shows his true colors. He's fearful, whiney, and quite temperamental. His caring side remains though. Thank goodness he has good friends (or one thinks so!). Didn't see the ending coming.
