The Kept Woman (Will Trent #8) I love Karin Slaughter’s books. Especially the Will Trent series. So I was anxious to read this one. However, if you haven’t been following this series, you will have a hard time keeping up with everything in this book since much of it is about the characters that we have come to know in the previous Will Trent books
When a murder victim is found in an unfinished nightclub, owned by famous sports stars, GBI is called in to investigate. As the body count goes up, the story gets complex and has lots of twists. Slaughter’s writing style flows smoothly, making all her books must reads.
This book goes into a lot of back-story about Angie and Will. Then about how Angie hates Will’s new girlfriend, Sarah, and some of the nasty things Angie does to her. Angie is involved with the current case the Police Department is working on which brings in her past with the department.
If you didn’t know Will was terrific, you might not even like him after reading this book. He wasn’t at his best. Angie was worse than ever. She was one of those characters you love to hate. I can’t wait until she is out of Will’s life completely.
